DENIS PANASENKO — PRESIDENT OF THE "INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES"
At the General Meeting of the International Academy of Technological Sciences Denis Panasenko was elected President of the Academy
The International Academy of Technological Sciences, established by the USSR Military Industrial Complex, the USSR State Committee for Science and Technology and the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR in 1990 as the first industrial Academy of oil and gas sector in our country, is an association of leading scientists, manufacturers and the world’s largest companies working in the field of technologies of oil and gas industry, energy, communications, ecology, information technology, health and human security. The Academy carries out research and development, implemental and patenting activities in these areas of industry and economy, and is also the largest communication platform for the design and execution of major investment projects and programs, both in the Russian Federation and abroad.
At the General Meeting of the IATS the Academy Board of Trustees was established, which is headed by Anatoly Tkachuk, member of the RUIE Board, Chairman of the RUIE Commission on the Military Industrial Complex, Chairman of the Committee on Relations with Branch Associations of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Coordination of Branch Business Structures Activity of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, President of RUSTITAN Group, Major-General of the Federal Security Service. Other members of the Board of Trustees are Sheikha Shuaa Al-Thani, member of the Qatari royal family, Felix Romanovich Komarov, member of the Rockefeller Club, Russian State Duma members, high-ranking officials and major businessmen.

According to the status of the Academy defined by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 257 dated March 18, 1992, all members of the Management Committee of PJSC GAZPROM, including Chairman of the Management Committee A.B. Miller, as well as S.A. Zhvachkin, Governor of the Tomsk Region, V.L. Bogdanov, General Director of OJSC Surgutneftegas, top managers of OJSC LUKOIL, GAZPROMBANK (JSC), of major international oil and gas corporations and other prominent industrialists, entrepreneurs and scientists are also individual and collective members of the Academy.
Since 1991, the IATS regularly organizes and holds International Technological Congresses — "New Technologies of Gas, Oil, Energy and Communication Industry" CITOGIC, acts as a founder of the National Technological Prize "Peter the Great", is an advisory member of UNESCO and UNIDO.
