STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE UAE
Russia and the UAE have been close partners for many years, developing cooperation in many fields such as energy, science, space, trade, tourism, technology and education. There are declarations on strategic partnership signed by the countries, the main clauses of which were confirmed and expanded during the state visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the UAE in 2019 and his negotiations with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The "Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" and the "International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" will be the main platforms for coordinating the interaction of large and medium-sized businesses in Russia and the UAE.
The "Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" (RUIE) includes more than one hundred industrial and regional associations representing key sectors of the economy. The RUIE unites thousands of major Russian companies, cooperates with the Russia Federation Presidential Administration, and participates in decision-making at the state level in the sphere of entrepreneurship and business.
The "International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" (ICIE) brings together business alliances of industrialists and entrepreneurs as well as employers' organizations from 28 countries in Europe and Asia. It has official status with the UN, UNIDO, the Eurasian Economic Commission, SCO, BRICS and the African Union. The ICIE partners are the largest industry associations, investment, innovation, public funds, consulting and law firms, scientific institutions and educational establishments.
In order to accelerate the development of relations between the countries, at the initiative and request of the Russian side, the respected Sheikh Riad Al Sadiq, who is a successful entrepreneur, a philanthropist, a public and a scientific figure, an international investor, a man of standing and a respected person not only in the Middle East, but also beyond, can become the main coordinator, representative and partner in the UAE. All working meetings were attended by Sheikh Riad Al Sadiq and Denis Alexandrovich Panasenko.
During a week the Russian and Emirati sides discussed issues of cooperation in energy sector, scientific sphere, as well as environmental issues, issues of joint implementation of investment projects, tourism development and trade at a high level.
Special attention was paid to scientific, educational and technological interaction in the field of high innovative technologies, development and implementation of research results of leading scientists in Russia and other countries at joint scientific investment and innovation venues, where scientific developments will be examined, selected, funded and prepared for industrial production.
Increased cooperation between Russia and the UAE in many directions of economic and social spheres will definitely be of undeniable benefit to citizens of both countries, national business, development of economies, society, stability in the region and the world.
